Help in creating an estimate for your blinds and curtains
There are many variations and often additional information required other than basic dimensions when enquiring after blinds and curtains for your windows.
Our site is designed to give you all the information you need so we can collect the details we need to give an accurate final quote.
In many cases you will find an estimate of costs given on many of the products which, after sending the enquiry, we will check and confirm by return. Where we need clarification on any item or detail we will contact you.
Methods of collecting information of your window blinds
Generally the site makes use of a system based upon the familiar web site shopping cart. On some pages forms are used to collect your information where accurate costing requires more calculation that can be provided using a cart system.
Shopping cart
This method will be familiar to all online shoppers with the only difference being you send an enquiry rather than an order.
Rollers blinds example:
Browse the section you are interested in such as the Translucent, Transparent and Opaque sections and click on your fabric choice. For the sake of this example lets suppose you are looking at the range of fabrics under Transparent roller blinds – plain fabrics and would like to choose Cosmo White.
Simply click on the fabric icon and a new window will open showing your chosen fabric along with various drop down boxes for you to enter required additional information.
Once the drop downs are completed dimension boxes will appear and an estimate of costs will be given.
If you would like information on the meaning of any of the drop down boxes you will see links to additional information in the right hand sidebar of the page.
You can then click the “Add to estimate” button where the details you have entered will be held for you to review whilst you continue browsing the site.
You may wish to have additional items for your blinds such as a blind Pull or a contrasting braid and in the following example we will choose a pull and a braid to go with your Cosmo white roller blind:
Adding a blind Pull to your estimate
Either from the menu in the right hand sidebar of from the Finishing touches menu item , choose the blind pulls sub-menu item and browse the style sections you are interested in. Inside each sections are variations for you to choose from. You will see an “Add to cart” button under each – click this and the pull will be added to your enquiry.
Adding a blind Pull to your estimate
To choose a braid for you blind, browse the finishing touches braids sections navigating as you did for the blind Pull. Each braid type has various colour choices for you to choose from.
Once you have found a braid you like, click on the icon and a new window will appear. Add the width for the blind you as you did earlier with the fabric and a price will appear. You can add this to your estimate by clicking the “Add to Estimate” button.
At this point you can either continue to browse or click on the estimate, which you can do at any time, to review your choices and send the enquiry to us. Either click on the “View Estimate” button or, if you have moved away and continued to browse the site, click on the “Your Quotation” link at the very top of the page.
Sending an enquiry
You can review your choices and amend quantities if required and then click on the “Send Enquiry” button. This new page will repeat your choices and provide contact details for you as well as space for additional enquiry notes. Once complete, click on the “Send Enquiry” button and an email will be sent to us and a copy to you.
Using product enquiry forms
These are simply “enter info and send” forms which are quite comprehensive but allow us to gather details so as we can quote for your exact requirements.
Simply fill in each box and tick relevant boxes and send the form to us, You will receive a copy of your enquiry via email. Further information on some of the requirements can be found at the top of each sidebar above the form in the information box.
Beyound this you should have little difficulty in browsing the site and we hope you enjoy your visit and thank you for your interest in www.blindsandcurtains .biz

Fixing instructions for standard and Day & Night Roller Blinds
Installing Standard Single Brackets for Roller Blinds
The brackets provided come in pairs. They are identical and positioned left or right. The fixing positions are universal and designed for back or face fix, top or celling fix and side or end fix.
Before positioning the brackets consider clearance for window handles and other obstructions.
Select the fixing option and position the first screw as shown. This may vary according to how bulky the fabric is on the roller, in which case you will need to make a visual assessment and position the bracket accordingly. This applies mainly to blinds laminated from customer’s own material.
With the brackets fitted, the roller blind can be installed ready for use. When handling the blind make sure that the fabric is tight on the roller to prevent creasing and handle it carefully with clean, dry hands to avoid marking the fabric.
It is also a good idea to check the position of the chain connector as this may have moved in transit. It should be about 10″ (250mm) down from the clutch. To reposition rotate the chain around the clutch.
The blind has a plunging pin end [A] and a chain-operated clutch end [B].
To operate, pull gently on the chain in one direction raises the blind and pulling it in the other direction lowers it. It will remain in position automatically. On blinds where the fabric rolls against the window (Standard Roll) the front chain raises. On blinds where the fabric rolls towards the room (Reverse Roll) the rear chain does the raising.
Installing Double Brackets for Day & Night Blinds
The double brackets are supplied with the Duo blinds and Day/Night blinds.
They are fitted following the same procedure as for standard single brackets.
Cleaning Recommendations:
Vacuum cleaning / or gentle wiping with a sponge and a soft detergent.
Do not soak, Do not use any solvents and Do not rub.

2) You must confirm that the blinds are to be installed in a commercial building as far as you can reasonably ascertain having carried out your own risk assessment and that such a child is unlikely to be exposed to the blinds once installed; and

If you should fail to provide the confirmation and details required pursuant to 1 and 2 above then the blinds we supply shall comply with the safety codes and you shall not be entitled to reject the same nor use any requisition in relation to the same in the event that the blinds do not subsequently meet the purpose for which you intended.
